This book is one of the masterpieces of American sociologist Erving Goffman. Here, Goffman studies behavior in public and semi-public places, divides interpersonal interactions into unfocused interactions and focused interactions, and focuses on distinguishing three social units, namely interactive entities: face-to-face meetings or encounters, social occasions and social gatherings. The focus of this book is not on the public, but on behavior; not on institutions, but on individuals.

I particularly like his analysis of the character's behavior, which is very thorough. As he said, "getting involved" gave me a deeper understanding of the relationship between individuals and activities. This book was also very helpful to me when I was looking for a job. It gave me a better understanding of how to behave in different situations.
