The Guardians' Mission

[A male lead who is barely more than a background character + single male lead + no romance + friendship-focused + BE ending]

The boy listened to the wind as he drifted off to sleep. As his consciousness faded, an aged voice echoed through the empty expanse of his mind, calling to him again and again.

In a strange twist of fate, he struck a deal with the Great Elder Leo Angduo Pikachu.

When he came to, he had arrived alone at his destination: the finest school in the magical world, Moe Academy.

Here, he treasured everything he had around him: the wondrous knowledge and powers of magic, and a group of friends with wildly different personalities who worked together in perfect harmony. These were the things he most wanted to protect.

Yet a life of misfortune seemed to follow him like a curse. The purpose of the mission entrusted to him was to sacrifice himself in battle to protect the entire Central Moe Academy.

Taking death in stride and facing sacrifice without fear became his way of life.

But every mission must eventually be completed, and every duty relinquished. What, then, will become of his own fate?

[To protect is his mission; to sacrifice is to buy a fleeting peace]
