In Blue Star Year 32,553, the planet was struck by an extraterrestrial body, devastating all life. As if that were not enough, an alien species appeared, which the people of the past called Parasite Beasts. They are divided into Yin Beasts and Yang Beasts, opposing kinds that prey on each other. Both need a Host to reach their full strength. Parasite Beasts can infect any living creature no smaller than themselves. Yin Beasts devour all of their Host's thoughts and take control of the body, while Yang Beasts coexist with their Host, lending them their skills and talents in the hope of ultimately defeating the Yin Beasts.
By Blue Star Year 33,711, the native human race had formed a perfect symbiosis with Yang Beasts. However, most of Blue Star was under the control of Yin Beast hosts. The humans bonded with Yang Beasts established bases for survival and resistance, naming them the Cocoon-Breaking Bases. These bases were spread around the globe and identified by number. Hao Xu lives at Base 221, a middle-ranking base among the many.
Most people can bond with only one Parasite Beast in their lifetime. Those with exceptional talent can bond with up to two. The record, set only once in a thousand years, is four. Parasite Beast abilities are wildly varied, as are their skills, and top-tier Parasite Beasts are highly sought after. In this world, follow the male protagonist as he bonds with an unlimited number of Parasite Beasts and saves the globe from disaster!
