In her previous life, Yanzhen was blinded by love and manipulated by a scumbag. She had no children, her family was destroyed, and in the end, the ungrateful wretch she had raised poisoned her to death.
Reborn, Yanzhen’s goals were: take revenge on the scumbag. Shen Yan: Yanzhen.
Yanzhen’s goal: protect her family. Shen Yan: Yanzhen.
Yanzhen’s goal: enjoy life. Shen Yan: Yanzhen.
Both the male and female leads are reborn. There’ll be a twist later on, and the tangled relationship between the second female lead and the second male lead is great too. It’s neither saccharine nor angsty, more on the realistic side.
