"Memory of the Future" is a collection of philosophical short stories with allegorical fantasy written by Korzhanovsky in the 1920s. The seven stories demonstrate Korzhanovsky's boundless imagination, black humor and amazing satirical power: In the first novel "Fangling", a man living in a small apartment got lost in his small room because his small room was occupied by a "Fangling" "Magically expanded; "Bookmark" depicts a series of weird stories - a crazy Eiffel Tower, a stray cat trapped on a high-rise ledge, a mourning banquet, etc.; "Other People's Themes" fictionalizes a wandering intellectual who makes a living by selling philosophical systems and life mottos; "Branch", a commuter accidentally arrives at a place where "nightmares come true"; "Red Snow" tells It tells the story of a man who went out to look for a job and accidentally discovered people queuing for logic, but he did not join the queue because he could not guarantee that this logic would continue to exist; in "The Thirteenth Category of Reason", the sociable corpse missed his own funeral; and in the book's title story "Future Memory", Chartres, who invented the time machine, glimpsed the distant and glorious future.

I especially like the article "Bookmark". The weird stories in it remind me of my sometimes bizarre dreams. The time machine in "Future Memory" also resonated with me very much. I really hope I can see the future like the protagonist. But I kind of hate that wandering intellectual who makes a living by selling philosophical systems. I feel like he's a bit hypocritical. All in all, this is a very inspiring book and I recommend it to you!
