Synopsis

Rather than a novel, this is more like a textbook. The author started out on Rongshu.com two thousand years ago and has stumbled into countless pitfalls and stepped on more than a few landmines since. Through the stories of a group of struggling writers at Golden Apple Novel Network, this work takes the form of a novel to offer a hand-holding guide to gaining a thousand followers a day, writing ten thousand characters a day, and reaching hundreds of listens a day. It will help you stop worrying about failing to meet the requirements for audio-listening revenue. Jiangcheng City's Changwen School is a private high school. Its elite class has more than thirty students, all dreaming of becoming writers. Guided by their homeroom teacher, Liu Fangfei, they all became contracted authors at the literary website Golden Apple Novel Network. But apart from the Four Great Kings, most of them were struggling writers. After three years of cutthroat competition, Hao Shuang finally stood out and became one of Golden Apple Novel Network's top hundred newcomers that year. There was also Zhang Dagang, who wrote ten thousand characters a day until he worked himself bald; Gu Ke, who paid for submissions and popularity; and Wang Xiaolan, who used an AI writing bot to help with her work, among others. After finishing their college entrance exams, they were delighted to hear that Golden Apple Novel Network and the National Library were jointly hosting a nationwide writing competition themed “Reviving Ancient Texts, Passing On the Love of Books.” The competition named eight rare ancient books as models for contestants to use as material for their own adaptations. To help everyone prepare, Teacher Liu's son, Zhou You, a top tour guide, organized a study tour and writing trip to the places where the eight ancient books were set. Who will take home the competition's grand prize? Let's wait and see. At the end of the novel, an appendix will feature the contestants' entries as bonus stories.

Modern romance, with an unconventional plot and a sweet tone (a little angst is fine). No one being reborn, and preferably no mistresses or unattainable dream girls. Most importantly, it has to be complete 😂
