Synopsis

"Journey to the West" is one of the four classic Chinese classics. It is the first romantic novel about gods and demons in ancient China written by the Ming Dynasty novelist Shi Chengen. It mainly describes the story of Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, and Sha Seng protecting Tang Monk on his journey to the west to obtain Buddhist scriptures. From reincarnation to returning from Buddhist scriptures, Tang Monk encountered eighty-one difficulties in total. It is based on "The Tripitaka of the Tang Dynasty", folklore and Yuan dramas.

The storyline of this book is so exciting! The image of Sun Wukong is very vivid. His wit, bravery and mischief are all people can't help but like. I particularly hate Tang Seng, he is sometimes too stubborn and pedantic. However, this book also shows many human weaknesses and beauties, which makes people think deeply. Overall, this is a good book worth reading again and again.
