In ancient times, there was an ancient country in the west of Hainan Island called Dan'er Kingdom (today's Danzhou City). The novel uses Dan'er Kingdom as the creative background and Danzhou humanistic allusions as creative material. It mainly tells the heroic deeds of Princess Sunset who followed the mysterious last words left by her father before her death and assassinated the Emperor of Heaven through the Sun Road.
