Because Zimi betrayed his lord, Peng Chong, his actions were considered a violation of ritual and law, so he was given the title “Disloyal.” Historical records say little about Zimi's life, preserving only a few scattered passages in the “Biographies of Wang, Liu, Zhang, Li, Peng, and Lu” in the Book of the Later Han.
