The Princess Won't Return to Court

After the Yellow River flooded, large numbers of refugees poured into Ying County in Henan Prefecture. The local officials tried hard to contain the disaster, but new problems kept cropping up. The imperial court sent Bao Zheng to oversee relief efforts, and Bao Zheng dispatched Zhan Zhao ahead to inspect conditions in the counties of Henan. Seeing refugees strewn everywhere, Zhan Zhao was overcome with anger and went to confront the local officials. There, he caught the heroine stealing money. He intended to stop her from doing wrong, but stumbled upon a shocking secret: one of the heroine and the friend she had grown up with was the late emperor's daughter, lost among the common people. The only person who knew what had really happened back then had succumbed to illness and died. After Kaifeng Prefecture's relief efforts, the question of which of the two was the true princess became a new problem.
