A country that is both familiar and unfamiliar has a close relationship with its powerful neighbor. It does not have the vastness and majesty of Russia, nor the complex beauty of China. Mongolia, located between the two powerful neighbors, has the unique beauty of a steppe country. The Hangai Mountains winding in central Mongolia are rich in water, grass, and dense forests; the charming Selenga River has nurtured generations of grassland children; the Altai Mountains are like a rising backbone, supporting the majesty of the prairie; and the vicissitudes and magnificence of the Gobi Desert are filled with countless touching stories!
Now that the dust and smoke of history have dispersed, a brand-new country is standing in Eurasia. Ulaanbaatar, the "Capital of the Grassland", and Zamyn-Uud, the "Little Hong Kong of Outer Mongolia", show the prosperity of Mongolia today. White yurts, bright Mongolian robes, exquisite Mongolian knives, rich dairy products, ethnic customs that have been passed down for thousands of years are in harmony with urban civilization.
The intertwining makes this country stand full and charming.

This book gave me a deeper understanding of Mongolia. It turns out that it not only has beautiful grasslands, but also has so much rich culture! Just like the places I pass by when delivering packages, each one has its own unique charm. Moreover, the book also mentioned the "Belt and Road Initiative", which reminded me of the development of our country. I feel that this book is a bit similar to "The Silk Road: A New World History", both telling stories on the Silk Road. I think Zhang Qian is really amazing. His courage and wisdom made great contributions to the development of the ancient Silk Road. We should be like him and bravely face various challenges in life!
