A companion story to Marrying the Duke, this is Ninghua's tale!
Every encounter in this world is a reunion after a long separation...
Ninghua is the most revered princess of the Great Ye Empire, cherished by her father and adored by her older brother. She thought she could live the life she wanted, but fate had other plans: her father died, her eldest brother took the throne, and a foreign power invaded.
With no other choice, she offered herself in exchange for sparing the people of Great Ye from the ravages of war.
She chose to travel to Great Xia for a political marriage, planning to keep her distance from the Crown Prince and avoid interfering in each other's lives. But the Crown Prince publicly rejected the marriage for the sake of the woman he loved, leaving her humiliated. As everyone waited to see her make a fool of herself, Ninghua looked around and fixed her gaze on a man in black court robes. Pointing at him with her delicate finger, she declared, “I choose him!”
The crowd murmured, “That princess certainly knows how to choose!”
Rong Yu, Prince Su of Great Xia, was the Crown Prince's royal uncle, a few years older than her. She chose him out of selfish motives.
And so, the two, who had met only a few times, were bound together. On their wedding night, Rong Yu asked why she had chosen him instead of one of the many other princes. Ninghua casually replied, “Well... because you're better-looking than all of them.”
She meant it!
Rong Yu: “...”
Actually, Ninghua's original thought had been: “If you humiliate me in public, I'll become your aunt by marriage.”
The heroine is lively and free-spirited. I thought she had traveled through time.
Of course I deserve five stars if I write it myself 😳
The writing was pretty good, it would have been better if our hero hadn't died. Author, please don't abuse me next time. I can't stand a little abuse.
Very nice. It would be nice if the ending could be more perfect.
Is it what I think? He came to find her, right?
The ending didn't mention that the days after their reunion were not very good, but luckily he still came back to her.
The female protagonist has a bumpy love life, and the male protagonist is very good at martial arts. Why did he receive a lunch box?
I got it from the previous one, so I'll check it out first.
This cover is very nice
