Sometimes, Jingfen will have a recurring dream.
She dreamed that she was back in the Forbidden City in Shengjing. She was going straight to Qingning Palace, but who knew where she took a wrong turn and ended up in front of the Phoenix Tower. There squatted a little girl of seven or eight years old, digging the ground next to the Phoenix Tower with a branch as thick as a finger.
Jingfen thought, whose child is this, acting so recklessly in Emperor Taizu's Forbidden City? However, the girl was enjoying herself so much that she couldn't bear to stop, so she just stood aside and watched silently. Then she heard footsteps rushing past her, and a woman said: "Little Princess, what are you doing!" The girl turned around and smiled, throwing the branch towards Jingfen.
Jingfen was stunned and quickly reached out to catch it. Fortunately, she grabbed it in time and the branch did not hit her face. However, when I looked for the girl again, she had disappeared.
Jingfen also woke up. Where was she in Shengjing? She was in the Forbidden City, in the dark night, like a lurking beast, and she had already been swallowed into her belly.

After reading the physical book, I was most moved by Chapter 17, Guangxu's confession and Jingfen's emotional outburst! It is a pity that as an ordinary person, Jingfen had the surname "Yehenala" and had no choice but to become the "mistress" of Guangxu and Concubine Zhen; she couldn't help but fall in love with her husband; and she was powerless to bear the "grievance and entrustment" of Guangxu and Cixi. What to do! Even though she is small and cowardly, she doesn't want to be saddled with this mess! But her surname is "Yehnala"!
The plot of this book is very attractive, especially the appearance of the little girl, which makes people feel mysterious and curious. I can feel Jingfen's helplessness and bitterness. Her life in the Forbidden City is not easy. The author's description is very delicate, making me feel like I am actually there. I think the author must be very imaginative to create such an interesting story. I hope that I can face the difficulties in life bravely like Jingfen in the book. 🤗
It's so beautiful, the last paragraph can be directly made a god
The last chapter directly sublimated, it was really touching!
I applaud the author for his perseverance in writing books and look forward to other more imaginative works. This book follows history so much that it seems to be written silently [laughing and crying]
