This book touched me very much. It reminds me of a relative of mine who lives alone, and we really need to pay more attention to the people around us. The stories in the book also made me realize how important the connection between people is. People without relatives or friends can live in a nursing home. People who die alone do not belong to this category. The deceased has grown up. Personally, I think the subject matter is good, but a bit neither academic nor literary. But the translated sentences do have what I think is a Japanese flavor.
