Chronicles of Hunting the Strange: Fatal Observation

There are no zombies, no mechs, no interstellar travel, and no apocalypse here.

Instead, you'll find interconnected yet independent novellas, each like one of Mr. Ni Kuang's Wesley stories, blending sci-fi, adventure, and a touch of mystery and deduction.

The stories take place in the present day, and their fantastical elements stay as close as possible to the limits of modern technology. That means the world feels familiar, not distant, and easy to immerse yourself in.

The author will do their best to make the science-fiction elements plausible and well-supported. After all, science fiction is about making things up, then finding a way to make them add up.

The greatest advantage of this book is that you never need to worry about it ending badly. It's a series of sci-fi novellas, each volume roughly 100,000 characters long. You can read them as standalone stories, though they do connect to one another. Naturally, the characters and setting will remain consistent throughout.

The first volume, Fatal Observation, deals with a fairly familiar subject. I can't reveal what it is just yet, since the story has an element of mystery and telling you now would spoil it. If you like this style, keep reading and you'll find out.
