Remembering the years gone by,
I once slew Hela for Jingwei and brought peace to the Eastern Sea, and saw Houyi climb high to shoot down the nine suns;
Yun Mo severed the Three Corpses, and Mu Xian mended the crack in the sky;
I dug for firewood trees on the Eternal Icefield, and chased Kuafu along the banks of the Wei River.
The Fallen Shadow Valley, the Soul-Devouring Tower, beneath the shrine of the immortals, I grasped the source of the Dao.
In those days,
I subdued the Nine Infants and eliminated Ling Jun, captured Taowu and defeated Taotie.
I fought nether demons atop the walls of the Immortal Alliance, and battled Xingtian beneath the Fusang Tree.
Now I am the foremost immortal to ascend, with a thousand faces among the thousand who look up to me, yet not one offers to brew tea:
“Senior, you’re here! Please come in and make yourself at home!”
A cup of tea curls with steam in the little house. In this world, there is no one left who wishes to know you.
“Senior, you are not alone on your path. Do not grieve. May your Dao never leave you lonely.”
