Livestreaming Modern Life to the Ancients

Xie Caiwei transmigrated and became a little palace maid in the Cold Palace, tasked with serving a young prince who had been confined there. Xie Caiwei thought she was the heroine, and that she had transmigrated to this era to enjoy a passionate romance and make a name for herself. So after transmigrating, she devoted herself to caring for the first person she met: Song Yu, a prince of Great Chu. At first, she chopped wood, farmed, and did everything she could to find food. Later, she invented things: spinning machines, soap, glass, white sugar, and a method of making salt by evaporation. She amassed a fortune and provided Song Yu with the support he needed. She wholeheartedly believed that she and Song Yu would be together for life, just the two of them, growing old together. It wasn’t until Song Yu appointed a new empress, a noble consort, and four consorts bearing the titles Virtuous, Honorable, Pure, and Virtuous, then condescendingly bestowed the title of Precious Consort on her, that Xie Caiwei realized Great Chu would never be her homeland or her home. Eighteen years after transmigrating to Great Chu, Xie Caiwei’s golden finger finally awakened. The livestream from another world took her back to the modern era, transforming into a livestream from ancient times. Everyone in Great Chu would now watch Xie Caiwei enjoy her leisurely life. At the Imperial Mausoleum Museum, Xie Caiwei laments that so many emperors’ tombs have been robbed, counting the imperial coffins that have been flooded and the emperors’ bones scattered across the ground. On a Three Gorges cruise ship, Xie Caiwei calmly listens to the director explain: “The country built the Three Gorges Dam here, turning a thousand miles of gorges into an easy route. As the saying goes, ‘The clouds and rain of Mount Wu were cut off, and a lake emerged among the towering gorges.’” At a rocket launch, she watches the rocket soar. At Tiananmen Square, she watches the flag-raising ceremony and the National Day military parade. Ordering takeout on a high-speed train, eating fish on a cruise ship, admiring the scenery from a helicopter, and taking a road trip in an RV.
