The Amethyst Apocalypse

On a gloomy evening in the year 2718 of the World Calendar, an unprecedented, strange black rain silently descended, quickly covering every corner of the globe. This was no ordinary rainfall: it carried some unknown, mysterious power. As the raindrops seeped into the world, a group of people afflicted by a bizarre disease suddenly appeared.

The infected underwent a complete transformation and gained supernatural abilities. Some could control light, others mutated into monsters, and still others could tear through space. One incredible power after another manifested in them. Yet this power came at a terrible cost. With frequent use of their abilities, the infected began to mutate, their bodies gradually consumed by a deep purple crystal until they ultimately became beings of cold, solid crystal. People gave this strange disease a grand and tragic name: “Violet Crystal Syndrome.”
