[Funny, easily flustered princess with a charming contrast and an easy-to-please side x sharp-tongued acclaimed actor who acts tough, is clingy as can be, and plays favorites]

Early in the dating show

Qing Dai gets lost and runs into Duan Baiyun.

Though he isn't even an official cast member yet, Duan Baiyun takes the red string around her wrist, loops it around his finger, and leads her along.

An actress blocks his path. "Teacher Duan, could you help me open this bottle?"

Duan Baiyun: "No. My hand's broken, and yours isn't crippled."

Qing Dai swallows. "I'm thirsty too. I want some water."

Duan Baiyun immediately brings over a bottle of water, opens it, and hands it to Qing Dai.

Actress: "..."

Actress: "Teacher Duan, look at the clouds today. They look like a heart."

Duan Baiyun doesn't look up. "I've seen a ragged lump of white every day. What's there to look at?"

Qing Dai plays along. "Wow! It really is pretty, a big heart."

Duan Baiyun looks up to save face. "Yeah, it's pretty. It's a hollow heart, full of brokenness."

Viewers: [I'm screaming, and this is their first time in the same shot!]

Late in the dating show

On the couples' variety show

Duan Baiyun: "Give me a kiss."

Qing Dai: "I'm busy."

Duan Baiyun: "Just one."

"Mwah!"

Duan Baiyun: "One more."

Qing Dai: "Stop clinging to me!"

Duan Baiyun: "One last one."

"Mwah! Mm..."
