[The struggle for favor is a tragedy in which women are forced to compete under a patriarchal society. This time, let women rule the world!]
The young Cixi’s rise as the ultimate villain
Prologue:
“Daughter of Huizheng of the Yehenara clan, an official of the Gui Sui Circuit in Shanxi…”
As the eunuch called out her name, Mo Xin stepped forward slowly.
Outside the hall, the palace maidens, maids, and eunuchs held their breath. A profound silence filled the place, broken only by the eunuch’s shrill voice echoing through the vast hall.
“Yehenara Mo Xin, fifteen years old, of the Bordered Blue Banner…”
Mo Xin bent her knees, ready to kneel and kowtow.
“Retained.”
The sudden command came from the man on the dragon throne at the center of the hall. His voice was deep and steady, carrying immense weight.
But to Mo Xin, it sounded like a distant chant drifting down from the clouds, so ethereal and remote that it seemed less real than the tinkling of the beads on her white jade hairpin beside her ear.
In the ensuing silence, Mo Xin kept her head lowered, afraid to break the rules of courtly etiquette, yet she could feel the tension in the air.
Everyone present looked astonished, except the emperor on the throne and Mo Xin, still half-kneeling. She could almost picture the maidens behind her twisting their handkerchiefs in their fingers and biting their lips with envy.
A moment later, Mo Xin knelt and kowtowed, loudly offering her thanks for the emperor’s favor.
The eunuch, interrupted mid-announcement, seemed to come back to his senses. Composing himself, he announced, “Yehenara Mo Xin, retained for selection and granted a sachet!”
Mo Xin accepted the sachet, her fingers lightly brushing the golden dragon amid swirling clouds embroidered on it. A confident smile, just as she had expected, touched her lips.
A flock of wild geese flew over the Forbidden City, their cries ringing out one after another.
I rarely comment on female-driven stories, but this one is really well written. Not only is the plot exciting, but the writing style is also unique. In the early stage, the two lines are switched between the inside and outside of the palace. The author is great.
This book is really good to read. It's a high-quality Gong Dou Wen. Maybe it's because of the title. How come so few people have read it?
It's not bad, but it's a bit missing. I haven't seen enough of it in one go. I'm adding bookshelves to fatten it up first.
Why does the author stop updating such a beautiful book? Don't you think it's a pity?
Super good-looking, feels like a TV series
I'm worried about Fu Xiao... Hua Wu Bai Ri Hong, she just entered the palace and started to put on airs, won't she be offline soon?
As soon as you enter the palace gate, you are as deep as the sea. From then on, you meet as passers-by. Childhood sweethearts are really upset...
After reading this book, I feel that my IQ has increased. The author will write faster. I am really looking forward to it! 😂😂😂
Shuhuang Square honestly doesn't deceive me, it's really beautiful.
I finally waited until the heroine entered the palace. Author, please update it quickly!!!!! 🤦🤦🤦
