During the confrontation between Song and Liao, the Liao invaded the Song territory, and the Song border guard (Yang Liulang) led his troops to fight against the Liao. Yang Yanzhao's son, Yang Zongbao, was on his way back from escorting grain and grass. He passed by Muke Village, shot swan geese with both hands, and fought with Mu Guiying. After Mu Guiying fell in love with Yang Zongbao's loyalty, Zongbao went up the mountain to get married. Then the couple went down the mountain, and Mu Guiying helped Yang Yanzhao defeat the enemy. It was such a great thing, but it did violate a taboo in military regulations at the time: "The military formation is serious and you recruit relatives privately." Zongbao was interrogated and executed by his father. This led to the plea of Yang Yanzhao's mother She Taijun, the plea of the second-in-command of the Song Dynasty, the Eight Wise Kings, and finally the story of Mu Guiying's plea being granted. Yang Yanzhao's mother She Taijun begged for mercy, which was the love between ancestors and grandchildren. Yang Yanzhao did not show favoritism, enforced the law impartially, insisted on beheading Zong Baowen, killed his relatives for justice, and threatened his mother with suicide, which was majestic and awe-inspiring.
