Showbiz: With Terminal Cancer, I Can Only Sing to Stay Alive

Gu Chen was reborn, with no parents and nowhere to call home. That year, he was diagnosed with terminal rectal cancer, which had already spread extensively and metastasized. The news struck like a thunderbolt. With less than seven days left to live, he fell into despair. That night, he stepped onto the balcony, intending to kill himself. But just then, he awakened a Healing Through Song System! The beginner’s gift gave him a perfect, heart-wrenching voice and a universal adaptive guitar tuner. As long as he earned enough fan points, the System could ease his cancer pain and increase his recovery rate. To stay alive, he started livestreaming. The first song he sang was “Ordinary,” from Dying to Survive. As the number of viewers in the livestream grew, so did his fan points. Everyone who came in and heard Gu Chen sing started crying. They thought of their loved ones who were also battling illness, and all the things they had been through. When he sang his second song, “Father,” they were weeping uncontrollably! “Waaah... What could the streamer have gone through to write and sing such a heartbreaking song?” “Waaah, I miss my dad!” “Streamer, we’re in the same boat. I have... too.” “I’m still so young. I don’t want to die...” “Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, I miss you!” - “Ding! Congratulations, Host. Your fan points have reached ten thousand. Cancer recovery increased by one percent, cancer pain reduced by ten percent, and your lifespan has been extended by one day!”
