[Disguised as a man]+ [Comedy]+ [Undercover]+ [A band of villains takes in fellow villains]+ [Don’t worry, the story won’t break your heart]

Lin Shu is a tree born in the Demon Realm. From the day she gained sentience, she was passionate about making friends. Her friends came and went, one after another, while she stayed rooted in the same place for decades.

She thought she would spend her entire life in the Demon Realm, but then her spiritual awareness suddenly sensed a new tree body. Touching the sapling growing outside the gates of the Taixu Sect, Lin Shu immediately set herself a goal: infiltrate the enemy’s ranks and become the sect leader!

Her likable personality earned her new friends among the outer disciples. During the inner sect examination, she unexpectedly caught the eye of Pei Ji, the sect leader’s senior disciple, and was chosen as one of the sect leader’s disciples.

Misled by the kind image her senior brother presented, Lin Shu followed him around all day. Even when they were in danger in a secret realm, she never suspected him in the slightest. It was only when she saw him holding the hall master’s severed head, his face full of murderous fury, that she finally realized his kindness was all an act!

Later, Pei Ji spent his days worrying over having fallen for his junior brother. He went down the mountain on an errand to cut off his feelings, but when he discovered that someone else was secretly in love with his junior brother, he could no longer sit still. “Bad people belong together, don’t they?”
