Dreaming Back to Zhanghua Terrace

Archaeological prodigy Ye Wentian is taken hostage by tomb raiders and forced to help them find a spirit tiger tally that can travel through time. In the process, he and the leader of the raiders transmigrate to the Spring and Autumn Period, during the reign of King Ping of Chu. Both a passionate scholar and a chivalrous hero, Ye Wentian meets a host of kings, nobles, generals, and ministers along the way, including Wu Zixu, Sun Wu, King Helu of Wu, Fuchai, Qingji, Goujian, Fan Li, and Wen Zhong. He also becomes close friends with such heroes, eccentrics, and extraordinary figures as Zhuanzhu, Yao Li, Donggao Gong, Ou Yezi, Gan Jiang, Mo Xie, and Nangong Shouxu. Following in their footsteps, he is swept into the struggle for supremacy among the feudal lords, witnessing their schemes and rivalries, as well as the love, grief, vendettas, and triumphs of kings, generals, and heroes. Thus unfolds one thrilling, twist-filled tale after another. Along the way, he masters peerless martial arts, helps his close friend destroy Chu and avenge the fall of Wu, and falls in love with Princess Meng Ying of Qin. Time and again, he foils the schemes of the tomb-raiding chiefs, who have transmigrated into powerful ministers and nobles, shattering their ambitions to steal the Three Treasures of the Spring and Autumn Period. In the end, he reclaims the spirit tiger tally and returns to modern life with his beloved.
