Prologue
On a lonely planet, a handsome young man named Lifeng and a girl named Qingyun speak with a white-haired woman known as the Titan Goddess.
“What do you mean?” Lifeng asks.
The Titan Goddess says, “Back then, I sincerely loved someone. I never imagined things would end so tragically. What a pity, what a pity.”
Qingyun asks, “Why?”
The Titan Goddess replies in great pain, “The person who loved me was a thousand years younger than I was. Though I was terribly reluctant to let him go, I often felt insecure about it. I was also afraid of how society would judge us, so I rejected his sincere love. In the end, he finally left me. Only after losing him did I truly understand that I had nothing.”
Lifeng pauses for a moment, then says, “You loved each other so deeply. Why couldn’t you get past this? If it were me, I wouldn’t have let this happen. Age doesn’t mean everything. Sincere love is what lasts forever, you know? How many people in this world envy your love story, and how many feel sorrow over how it ended? What does loving someone have to do with other people’s opinions?”
The Titan Goddess weeps. “How can I bear it? If Heaven gave me another chance, I’d hold on to him and never let go.”
Qingyun asks, “What happened after that? Did he ever come back to you?”
The Titan Goddess says, “A hundred trillion years have passed, and he has never appeared again...”
