Hou Yongye was the First Emperor of the Ages and the founder of the Eternal Night arts.

At his enthronement ceremony, before he could even warm the throne, his descendants used his own arts to summon his soul from the Eternal Night.

In the Reboot Era...

Ancient-pattern martial arts had become legend, and combined armor systems now ruled the world.

Hou Jiaoyan was a master of ancient-pattern martial arts and the founder of ancient-pattern script.

It would be no exaggeration to say that even though he was no longer in the martial world, his legend lived on.

Dean of the War Arts Academy: “This kid can’t even understand a G-rank rune skill, yet he can decipher advanced D-rank rune skills. A true freak of nature.”

Head of the Martial Arts Department: “You think that’s impressive? This guy used the most basic G-rank Lan Kick to unleash the power of an E-rank ancient-pattern technique.”

Nofita Alien: “This guy has no honor. He was clearly posing for a roundhouse kick, but then he stabbed me with a dagger!”
