A Starfaring Homestead Life for the Household Immortal

Baici was a highly spiritual little hedgehog. The human who stumbled upon him began worshipping him as a household guardian deity. By a stroke of fate, Baici gained intelligence and officially took up the post. But the Heavenly Dao no longer allowed animals to become spirits, and just before Baici could transform, a tribulation thunderbolt sent him to an interstellar age with advanced technology.

Baici landed in a terrible place: the thunderbolt struck him straight into a sealed research facility. Fortunately, the tribulation didn’t finish him off, and even gave him a baffling cheat ability: only one imprisoned test subject could see Baici’s true form.

Using this ability, Baici escaped the research facility with his dying companion. Along the way, he also rescued a poor soul named Mo Bai who was being hunted. But when Baici met the poor Mo Bai again, their positions had been reversed, and Baici had become the one who needed rescuing.

Mo Bai mistook Baici for an omega, but Baici only wanted to be Mo Bai’s household guardian deity. To fulfill his duty, Baici boldly promised that he could cure Mo Bai’s “pheromone disorder.”

In truth, someone had sabotaged Mo Bai during his differentiation, causing his glands to regress to an immature state. Baici found a way to cure him in the bundle of knowledge the Heavenly Dao had given him when he transmigrated, but it required the two of them to become cultivation partners.

Faced with Baici’s sudden proposal, Mo Bai nodded in agreement, doing his best not to laugh out loud.
