This book reminds me of my cousin who used to not study hard, and now she often regrets her original choice. The descriptions of historical figures in the book are very vivid, making me seem to be able to see their struggles and helplessness in that era. Just like what is said in the book, "They can't help themselves in the torrent of history." This made me think more about my own life. I think this is a very enlightening book and worth reading.
