His portrayal of characters is really penetrating, just like Ochumelov in "Chameleon", which makes people love and hate him at the same time. Moreover, Mr. Wang Yongnian's translation is simply a stroke of genius, perfectly conveying the charm of the original text. I think this book is similar to Maupassant's short stories, both are good at capturing the details of life. It is really a good book worth reading again and again!

Excellent! O. Henry is such a master! It's a pity that after everyone knows the style, it is not difficult to guess the ending that was supposed to be a jump-off.

It's a must. My favorite foreign novel when I was a kid, I could reread it as many times as I wanted. The one about the thief and the robber who robbed the securities dealer is just that when I think about it now, isn't it?
