When chaos first emerged, the three thousand gods and demons all perished in battle against Pangu. Only Luohou, Hongjun, Yangmei, Qiankun, and Yinyang escaped by abandoning their physical bodies in time, allowing their primordial spirits to flee.
After the battle, the bodies of the three thousand gods and demons, along with the exhausted Pangu, fell into the primordial world and evolved into the myriad races of the world.
But as their bodies fell into the primordial world, a wisp of pale-white primordial spirit slipped into Hongjun’s vital essence.
Unlike the other gods and demons, whose bodies shattered as soon as they landed, transforming into all things and nourishing heaven and earth, it remained intact.
Instead, after falling into the Netherworld Blood Sea, it separated from Hongjun’s true form. A mass of blood floated atop the sea and began to take shape.
