This is a world jointly governed by the human realm and the underworld, where zombies are their common enemy.
Our bottom, Yan Xin, is a zombie, and a walking disaster with truly rotten luck. He was killed for a childish reason and turned into the Zombie King. He's unlucky, but at least he's still a king, right? The problem is that Yan Xin doesn't know he's the king. He thinks being strong and not afraid of sunlight are just zombie traits. He can eat a lot without gaining weight, too. His food is blood, but Yan Xin has only ever tried duck blood, and he likes tomatoes second best. Yan Xin believes in settling scores fairly: revenge must be taken, but he won't do anything bad that he shouldn't. He's set on being a good socialist zombie.
Our top, Xu Enyang, was screwed over by his parents and had to drop out of school to work as a delivery rider and pay off his family's loans. Little did he know that one act of courage would land him in trouble and turn him into the walking blood bank for a certain Zombie King. As misunderstandings are cleared up, the two gradually fall in love in this hilarious story.
This novel features a sunny, cheerful, funny guy with a nurturing streak and an adorable, sharp-tongued Zombie King with a dual personality. You can't go wrong with this one!
There's also a secondary couple later on, with a strong woman and a weaker man. The author says they're great too!
