Plague Doctor of the Paranormal Revival

Give me silence, and I will challenge the night.

Kahlil Gibran

The year I was born, the supernatural came roaring back. People everywhere lived in terror, and every city could expect a red fog to descend every few months. All kinds of monsters and demons appeared within it, rampaging and plundering every area it covered. Even the world map was transformed by this mysterious power, and unexplored lands became what people called the wasteland. Humanity's last surviving refuge was reduced to just eighteen cities. My family had practiced medicine for generations, and I followed their wishes and became a doctor too, though there was something unusual about it... Have you ever heard of a bird plague doctor?
