Saving Heaven and Protecting Earth

Do demons, ghosts, and monsters really exist?

One qi transforms into three, and three give rise to all things.

The Daoist canon says: The Dao gives birth to One, One gives birth to Two, Two gives birth to Three, and Three gives birth to all things. Whenever the world falls into chaos, the natural order turns and changes, and all under heaven is thrown into turmoil. In the era when I was born, the world began to change, and living things suffered while the people fell into chaos.

My grandmother always said that I was extraordinary from the moment I was born. She told me that a disaster would befall me when I turned sixteen, so she had me and Liu Linsheng wear protective charms at all times. And sure enough, disaster struck that year. A girl jumped from the roof of the dormitory, a boy hanged himself in the men's dorm, and then someone knocked on our door. A female ghost! She was here... From that year on, we kept searching for our purpose. What were we supposed to do?

Were the things we encountered really demons, ghosts, and monsters? As the world changed and ordinary people suffered, could it really not have been human-made disaster? Was it all the work of demons? Was it natural calamity? I will spend my life seeking the truth. What really happened? Heh heh! The truth lies within my story... All manner of evil, whether natural or human-made disaster, this is how the world is. What is right, and what is wrong? Come read Save Heaven and Protect Earth, and you'll find all the answers within these pages!
