I think this book is very good! Maupassant's novels are always so real, reminding me of my own experience of neglecting my studies to work. If I could have read these books earlier, I might have been able to pursue my dreams harder. His works are somewhat similar to Chekhov's novels, both of which are good at depicting the reality of life in simple language. And I particularly like the little characters written by Maupassant. They make me feel the difficulty and tenacity of life. This book really resonated with me and I recommend it to you!
