“Huo Linyi, I’ll make you a promise.”
Neither of them knew that one promise would become the red thread binding them together.
Beneath the bright moon, paulownia blossoms drift down onto their hair.
“I’ve made up my mind. My condition is...”
“Please marry me.”
Everyone is a blurry shadow in his eyes,
except Jing Ning, the one and only variable.
She seeks no romance, only to protect the last person she has left to cherish.
He seeks no passion, only to keep the one and only face in the world that matters to him.
A pact beneath the phoenix tree, with no promise of love, only a parting when the time comes.
Yet the heart is hard to control, and love is hard to hide.
“A girl with an empty, detached heart × a self-restrained CEO who can’t recognize faces”
Contract marriage | One-on-one romance | Devoted to each other | Happy ending
A heads-up about potential dealbreakers: I came up with this story in 2023. It’s a silly, amateurish, melodramatic sweet romance. Three years later, my writing still hasn’t improved and may even have gotten worse. The male lead has prosopagnosia, and the logic falls apart all over the place. Please leave real-world expectations at the door, don’t take it too seriously, and just enjoy the story!
