This story follows Xia Zhixi, a girl who grew up by the sea, dependent on her grandmother. One day, she learns unexpectedly that her grandmother has a brain tumor. Faced with the crushing medical bills, Xia Zhixi can only sing at a bar to earn money. Everything seems to be going normally until one day, when a thug harasses her at the bar. Xiao Jinchuan, a man who has come there to drink his troubles away, happens to be present. Somehow, he saves her. Perhaps it’s love at first sight, or perhaps they knew each other long ago. After that night, Xiao Jinchuan has someone investigate Xia Zhixi’s background, and learns that she went to the bar to pay for her grandmother’s treatment. As her grandmother’s condition worsens and she urgently needs surgery, Xiao Jinchuan covers the cost. Xia Zhixi, however, realizes that he deliberately approached and helped her. She asks him why, and his answer catches her by surprise. It turns out Xiao Jinchuan wants Xia Zhixi to marry him. At first, she refuses. In the end, she agrees. The two begin a life together, marrying first and falling in love later. But their seemingly happy life is fraught with danger and misunderstandings. What will become of their relationship?
