This book is very interesting! The author recorded the historical changes in China from the Revolution of 1911 to the Northern Expedition from a foreigner's perspective, which gave me a more comprehensive understanding of that era. His interactions with many important characters were also very interesting, and it felt like I was watching a historical drama. Moreover, he is also the discoverer of the "Peking Man" and the "Yangshao Culture" ruins, which is amazing! I especially like the description of Chinese social conditions in the book, which reminds me of the life of my grandparents. All in all, this is a book well worth reading.
