From the mountains to the city, from middle school to high school, and from high school to college, every stage of life has its own highlights. Mine have been the games of childhood, turning the tables against the odds in my third year of middle school, persevering through high school, and looking forward to a future full of possibilities.
What inspired me to keep striving through it all was the dream shared by most children from the mountains: "to leave the mountains behind."
But the road was bumpy, with disappointments and joys, successes and tears. Maybe that's just life, with its sour, sweet, bitter, spicy, and salty flavors! It's part of everyone's life, and it's part of mine too.
