After I Confessed, Captain Yan Regretted Turning Me Down

When Li Miaoyan was eighteen, she received devastating news: her brother, who served in the special forces, had died. They never even found his remains. All she had left was a red certificate honoring him with a First-Class Merit.

Their home was ransacked by thieves.

Yan Zhou, a special forces commander, heard what had happened and asked her to move in with him.

As they spent time together, she gradually fell for this strong yet gentle man.

When asked what they thought of Li Miaoyan, the soldiers who had been put through the wringer by Commander Yan looked baffled. “Gentle? Is that word even in Commander Yan's dictionary?”

Yan Zhou was only thirty, a lifelong bachelor and the famed commander of a special forces unit, with every skill mastered.

When Li Miaoyan confessed her feelings, he feared his age would hold her back and turned her down.

Back with his unit, Yan Zhou kept thinking about their time together. It took less than three days for him to regret his decision.

Things never go as expected. He was sent to the border and couldn't return without being summoned. He was gone for three years.

Yan Zhou never imagined that the next time he saw Li Miaoyan would be in a life-or-death situation.

By then, Li Miaoyan had become an expert researching cutting-edge weapons and had come to their base.

Terrorists got wind of it and kidnapped them. Yan Zhou personally led the rescue mission, determined to bring them back at any cost.

The mission was a success. In front of everyone, Yan Zhou pulled Li Miaoyan into his trembling arms and kissed her in full view of the crowd.

The moment Li Jingchen returned, he discovered that the cabbage he'd spent years raising had been snatched away, and that he'd personally delivered it right into the other man's hands.

Li Jingchen scratched his head as he stared at Commander Yan. “Wait, that man grinning from ear to ear with his arms around my sister can't be the stern Commander Yan!”
