Late Ming: I Go Overseas to Colonize

In 1488, Dias discovered the Cape of Good Hope. In 1492, Columbus discovered the New World. In 1498, Da Gama reached India...

The fifteenth to seventeenth centuries saw rapid advances in global seafaring. European feudal states threw themselves into opening new trade routes and dividing up colonies. In the seventeenth century, Spain controlled the Strait of Malacca, while the Dutch, masters of the seas, extended their influence to Taiwan. Meanwhile, the great eastern empire of the Ming dynasty, which had once sent Zheng He on his seven voyages across the Western Seas and was the first to show signs of capitalism, was mired in internal and external crises because of its own corruption and the emperor's arbitrary rule. Peng Zhen, an engineering graduate, became a sailor. During shore leave, he unexpectedly transmigrated to the late Ming dynasty. He had planned to use his knowledge to save himself, but fate led him to rally a group of refugees, establish a vast colonial empire, and help the anti-Qing forces restore the Ming dynasty.
