A thousand years ago, on the day of Princess Linglong’s wedding, the man she loved, Ye Xiuyuan, destroyed her kingdom.
A thousand years later, Fang Ning, Princess Linglong’s reincarnation, runs into Ye Xiuyuan again while breaking up with her no-good boyfriend.
To give her family an answer, she signs a contract and becomes Ye Xiuyuan’s wife.
As time passes, affection grows, and they fall in love after marrying. But just as Fang Ning truly falls for Ye Xiuyuan, she discovers he has only been using her.
Heartbroken, Fang Ning leaves and vanishes without a trace. The usually composed Ye Xiuyuan goes mad searching for her, but he can never find her again.
When Fang Ning returns, wearing Princess Linglong’s expression, she sneers, “I am her, and she is me. Ye Xiuyuan, why do you love her and not me?”
