Yan Ke and Yun Qi

More than twenty years ago, Grandpa Lin saved Grandma Yun and the pregnant wife of the Yun family after a robbery. At the time, Grandma Yun learned that the Lin family's daughter-in-law was pregnant too. To repay the kindness, Grandma Yun pointed to the Lin family's daughter-in-law's belly and made a vow to betroth their unborn children. But Grandpa Lin took it as a joke and never gave it another thought. As time passed, the two families lost contact and never heard from each other again. Grandma Yun, however, always kept her promise. Because of an ancient cultural tradition that had long been lost, a betrothal made before birth, Yun Qi and Yan Ke began a life of constantly getting on each other's nerves.
