I hope there are some good novels set in a bygone era. I don't want the male lead popping up out of nowhere every other minute, or the heroine sharing her space with him... Are there really no era novels better than *Lin Yuzhu, the Queen of Gawking*? I've reread it so many times I almost have it memorized. Little Yuzhu is truly the GOAT.
