"My Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway - The First Section Opened" is a book that Wang Wei used for more than ten years to show the changes, historical remains, and current status of cultural relics in the Fengtai-Nankou section of the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway through fieldwork, oral histories from veteran workers and residents along the line, comparison of old and new pictures from the same plane, hand-painted restoration based on old materials and pictures, and a survey of cultural relics across the entire line. It focuses on the long-demolished Guang'anmen-Xizhimen section, the historical changes of Xizhimen Station, etc. There are dozens of field trip videos shared through QR code links in the book.

The historical pictures and hand-painted restorations in the book are so wonderful! However, I kind of hate those who destroy cultural relics, and I hope everyone can protect our cultural heritage. This book makes me appreciate my current life more and also gives me a deeper understanding of history and culture. Recommended to everyone!
