After reading one or two chapters, there is nothing new and the writing is just average. Especially first-person writing. Writing about the protagonist in this way and then switching to someone else's perspective doesn't feel like there's any sense of immersion. If you want to write like this, you might as well write in the third person at the beginning, so as not to want to write the protagonist's thoughts and the feelings of other characters, which is really hard to get used to.
