Everything in the world is a unity of contradictions, a mixture of black and white, good and bad, good and evil, beauty and ugliness. The same is true for us as human beings. When we cannot accept the shadow part of ourselves, we will live under an imaginary mask, the psychological balance will be imbalanced, and pain will arise spontaneously. When we can open up and make peace with our imperfections—and embrace our fears and weaknesses—we open ourselves up to everyone and the world, and allow our true selves to grow. As human beings, we need to work tirelessly for a better life, but we can also help ourselves to take off our armor when we are tired; we need to encourage ourselves to stay positive, but we can also allow ourselves to hide our faces and cry when we are frustrated.
