Stock Up on Supplies, I’m Ready for Life in the Old Days

Jiang Yunxi lives in the modern era. Shortly before her twentieth birthday, she received a bracelet and spent a week having dreams about the life of someone who looked just like her and had the same name, but lived in the 1960s.

Feeling that something was off, she tried to take off the bracelet but accidentally opened a pocket dimension. There, she learned her origins. She had once been a spirit herb in another world, absorbing the spiritual energy of heaven and earth until she ascended to immortality. To become the god who governed all the plants and flowers of the world, she extracted her own soul and descended to the mortal realm to undergo ten lifetimes and a thousand years of tribulations. But during her final tribulation, someone sabotaged her, splitting her soul in two and sending each half to be reborn in a different world. Later, a high god from the divine realm subdued the culprit and sent her her life-bound divine artifact to make amends. That was what led to everything happening to her now.

With her soul incomplete, she had to return to the world she was originally meant to go to. On her twentieth birthday, the two halves of her soul would merge there, so she had to get ready before then.

See how she makes her way through life in the era.

Excerpt: One day after Jiang Yunxi got married, she suddenly discovered that her husband had long ago regained the memories of his previous life. She remembered how she'd racked her brains and gone to great lengths to cover up where certain things came from while he was around. He might have been watching her like it was all a joke, maybe even mocking her. Furious, she kicked him out of the house and refused to let him sleep in their bed.

(Only a parallel-world story set in a bygone era, with no fantasy cultivation.)
