[Fleeing famine + farming + community building + sweet romance + devoted couple]
Interstellar military doctor Qiao Yan is killed when fugitives attack her supply ship as she pilots it.
When she opens her eyes, she finds herself in the body of a pitiful girl sold to a brothel by her adoptive parents.
Then war breaks out, and the whole village flees the famine.
Qiao Yan rubs her temples. “Hold on. Fleeing famine is fine, but let me establish my own household first.”
Along the way, she happens to save Jiang Jingyuan, who is being hunted and has less than three months to live. Qiao Yan is overjoyed.
They say that once she gets married, her husband will kick the bucket, and then she'll be able to register her own household!
The refugees cross mountains and rivers and fight vicious beasts along the way. But when they finally reach their new home, Qiao Yan suddenly realizes something.
Her sickly husband may look frail, but why is he full of energy every single day?
Not only does he refuse to kick the bucket, he clings to her constantly!
When Jiang Jingyuan was in danger, Qiao Yan saved him, and he became convinced she was an assassin sent to get information from him.
He went to great lengths to play along with her.
But this assassin wife of his didn't kill anyone. She even kept saving people along the way.
Jiang Jingyuan was in a bind. Should he use his good looks to win her over to his side?
Later, he watched her build grand houses, host banquets, and lead a group of illiterate villagers in reclaiming the land and building a home.
Their settlement grew into the most prosperous place on the border.
Jiang Jingyuan pressed a hand to his thumping heart. What was he supposed to do? He seemed to have... fallen for her.
[Bonus Scene]
The first time Qiao Yan changed his bandages, she saw him completely naked. Jiang Jingyuan gritted his teeth in fury. “Shameless temptress!”
The second time, Jiang Jingyuan said, “...Fine, she didn't mean to.”
The third time, Jiang Jingyuan turned the tables and pinned Qiao Yan beneath him, his eyes reddening. “Wife, we've been married for so long. When are we going to consummate our marriage?”
The article is generally good, but it doesn't explain who specifically killed the male protagonist and why he didn't avenge his mother.
You can watch it. I like reading short stories, but I have no patience if they are too long.
The story is simple and interesting
It's beautiful, the heroine doesn't drag her feet, she's neat and tidy
Uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh
It's okay, but there is less interaction between the male and female protagonists in the back
It looks good, but the ending disappears all at once
It's okay, but the ending is a bit hasty.
A good book, worth reading and applauding.
It's okay, I can read it, there's nothing wrong with it.
