Cherished Dream

My name is He Zhixue. I'm about to start college, and during a trip I'd been looking forward to for years, I couldn't understand how an accident could happen out of nowhere, or why I was the only one to survive. Was I lucky? No, this was a tragedy!

No, did I really survive?

I realized I couldn't get out. The hospital that had pulled me back from the brink of death now seemed like a cage someone had carefully built for me. During all this time, whenever I tried to get discharged, there was always one thing I couldn't get past: the final examination.

I tried to find every scrap of information about the accident, but came up empty. I often had strange dreams. Most often, I dreamed of strange people and the scene of the accident.

Just when I was finally able to leave the hospital, another accident happened. It was as if someone was deliberately trying to keep me there.

My writing isn't very good, and there is a lot of dialogue. The protagonist isn't very likable, and there may be scenes involving a split personality or dreams that suddenly shift to another time and place. If you dislike dream-related stories, read with caution.

If all of this is a dream, then I'd rather never wake up. But that's impossible!

In my dreams, I become people from history, but the historical records are incomplete, and my life in the real world isn't happy either.

Is all of this just a dream, or is it the final echo before death?

Who is truly dead? Who is the one who really survived?
