Naruto: The Bonds of Love

Though life in the real world had left much to be desired, Yan unexpectedly arrived in the Hokage world he had always dreamed of and met a despondent Tsunade. After opening up to each other, she brought him back to Konoha to look after him.

In the sprawling Senju Clan Compound, Yan gazed at the bright moon and said gently:

“You must be lonely too, right?”

In an instant, it was as if their souls had resonated. A hoarse female voice sounded in his mindscape:

“Human, I quite like you.”

Near the Konoha forest, Tsunade activated Sage Mode. Blue-violet markings appeared at the corners of her eyes, and the power of her Wood Release increased dramatically with the aid of senjutsu.

In the Hokage’s office, the Third Hokage was peeking through a crystal ball. He felt the tobacco pipe in his hand trembling slightly.

The familiar scene sent Hiruzen Sarutobi shivering with dread. A new era had begun.

In the Land of Rivers, at Yugakure, Orochimaru lay on the Evil God’s altar, undergoing an immortality transformation. Though he believed his willpower far exceeded that of ordinary people, he was now enduring torment to both body and soul. Just as he was about to lose consciousness, a whisper from the Darkin came from between the cycles of life and death:

“Awaken... Fight! Or be forgotten.”

Boom!

A torrent of crimson chakra shot into the sky, passing close by the moon.

In Shikkotsu Forest, Orohime easily defeated Tsunade after she activated Sage Mode, then taunted her with scorn:

“I didn’t know you were so weak.”

The Snake Lady held Yan in her arms and said tenderly:

“Yan, from now on, let me protect you!”
